Tonight, I am reporting an Irish Jaunting Car ride as experienced at Muckross House , Killarney National Park. Jaunting Car at Muckross House. Location is close to the town of Killarney on the shores of Lough Leane in S.W.Ireland's County Kerry. Killarney is a stop on the Ring of Kerry scenic drive. A jaunting car is a light, two-wheeled carriage for a single horse with a seat in front for the driver. The vehicle usually has seats for two or four persons placed back-to-back with the foot-boards projecting over the wheels.In days past the jaunting car was a common conveyance for persons in Ireland.
