Rob Roy, Scottish Legend.
Rob Roy (1671-1734) was a complex character whose exploits have elevated him to ‘legend’ status. He was the well educated son of a Clan Chieftain who survived in a treacherous and violent world. He fought in uprisings against the government, was outlawed, bankrupted, ran protection rackets and came close to being deported, yet he survived to a good age by the standards of the day and died of natural causes in his own bed.
