Idyllic Spot on River Thames, England

(Tea for two on the river bank.)

Today, we travelled down to southern England from our base in Glasgow, Scotland and are now ensconced in delightful riverside accommodation near Wallingford, about fifty miles west of London.

During the few hours we have been here we have seen:
  • Large numbers of water birds ( ducks, geese, etc.)
  • A kite and buzzard (birds of prey)
  • Scullers (competitive rowers)
  • Various tour boats.
  • A long-distance swimmer.
  • Extremely unusual, Egyptian themed domestic architecture.
