Visit of Urban Fox

Here is a video clip recording visit of our local fox yesterday evening.

A recent report from the University of Glasgow states that urban foxes have developed a smaller brain size than rural red foxes but also a different snout shape which would be beneficial in foraging within urban habitats. Also, urban foxes show less of a difference between males and females.

The report also mentions that, while urban foxes are not domesticated, they are changing in ways that moves them closer to characteristics of domesticated animals.

We enjoy our 'foxy friends' who have been visiting our property for decades.
