Coronation Parade, Glasgow

Pipe Band

This afternoon I am posting images consequent upon a visit this morning to a Coronation Parade in central  Glasgow . This, of course, is a local celebration of yesterday's official coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla in London.

Most of formalities took place in George Square (which itself is named after Kind George III) and then relocated (via procession) to Glasgow Cathedral where a ecumenical service of thanksgiving was held.

This seems to be some sort of Royal Orb which was being moved at the Cathedral.
