Golspie Water Mill, Scottish Highlands
This evening, I am posting information on a rare, working, water powered water mill located on the Big Burn in the village of Golspie, Sutherland, near to Dunrobin Castle in the Highlands of Scotland.
The mill dates from 1863 and produces a wide range of stoneground flours and meals in the traditional manner. Products include:
- Strong wholemeal flour (organic)
- Plain wholemeal flour (organic)
- Rye flour (organic)
- Oatmeal
- Peasemeal
- Beremeal
This is not a visitor attraction per se but views of the exterior are possible. Produce can be bought in the local chemist shop.
