This is an interesting building which is now a hotel and pub.Superficially dates from 18th or 19th centuries but in fact is a combination of three buildings one of which dates back to the 14th century.

14th century oak timber construction of part of Hop Pole above. This is high quality construction and engineering which remains in good condition today.

Ancient wall painting in Hop Pole. May date from 16th century.

Overall, Tewkesbury ranks as an excellent visitor site.
